Michael G. Lloyd
I’m a country-living chemical engineer whose four-decade career has spanned the fields of risk management, emergency management, and security/anti-terrorism work. In my spare time, I’m a writer, gardener, and an Orphic Hellenist. Over the years, I’ve held volunteer community service positions that that have run the gamut from community radio to organic farm certification, neighborhood activism to queer youth services. I’m a co-founder and former co-facilitator (2002-2011) of the Between the Worlds Men’s Gathering, an annual spiritual retreat for men who love men, and am the author of Bull of Heaven: The Mythic Life of Eddie Buczynski and the Rise of the New York Pagan. I was named in the 2011-2013 Who’s Who of GLBT Columbus, and I currently serve as the first Eponymous Archon of the Temple of Dionysos. I grew up on a farm, and I’m unabashedly gay, a life-long Democrat, a gun owner, and an environmentalist.
